[Machine] 'Umar looked at the son of Abdul Hamid, whose name was Muhammad, and a man was speaking to him, saying, "May Allah do such and such to you, O Muhammad," and began to insult him. So 'Umar called him and said, "O son of Zayd, I do not see Muhammad ﷺ being insulted because of you. By Allah, you will never be called Muhammad as long as I am alive." So he named him Abdul Rahman. Then he sent to the Banu Talha, who were seven men, and their leader and elder was Muhammad bin Talha, to change their names. Muhammad said, "I remind you by Allah, O Commander of the Faithful, for by Allah, Muhammad ﷺ named me Muhammad." So he said, "Stand up, there is no way to change something named by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
