مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، عَنْ أبِيهِ
[Machine] I went out with my father, who was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , on the day of Eid to the prayer place. He sat before the imam came and did not come until the imam left. They went towards the mosque like they had no concern. So I said to him, "Do you not see the people?" He said, "This is an innovation and abandoning the sunnah."
خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَجَلَسَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْإِمَامُ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ حَتَّى إِذَا انْصَرَفَ الْإِمَامُ انْصَرَفُوا ذَاهِبِينَ نَحْوَ الْمَسْجِدِ كَأَنَّهُمْ عُنُقٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَلَا تَرَى النَّاسَ؟ فَقَالَ «هَذِهِ بِدْعَةٌ وَتَرْكُ السُّنَّةِ»
