Abū Ḥabīb > Muḥammad b. Isḥāq > Abān b. Ṣāliḥ > Mujāhid b. Jabr al-Makkī > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá al-Anṣārī from Ahl al-Kūfah

[Machine] That Ka'b ibn Ujrah, the brother of Bani Salim, suffered a head injury while he was in Hudaybiyah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and was isolated. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to fast for three days, or feed six poor people, or slaughter a sheep. And this verse was revealed in this regard.  

الطبراني:١٦٣٢٧حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ وَأَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْعُتْبِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَا ثنا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ أَنَّ مُجَاهِدَ بْنَ جَبْرٍ الْمَكِّيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْأَنْصَارِيَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ أَخَا بَنِي سَالِمٍ أَصَابَهُ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسَهِ وَهُوَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَحْصُورٌ «فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ يُطْعِمَ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ أَوْ يَذْبَحَ شَاةً وَفِيهِ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ»
