[Machine] Narrated by A'ith ibn Amr, who was one of the Companions who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ under a tree, he said: "His wife mentioned to him that she had seen purity (i.e., the end of her menstrual cycle) after twenty days. So she took a bath and came to join him in his bed. He noticed that she was menstruating, so he asked, 'Who is this?' She replied, 'So-and-so.' He asked, 'What is the matter with you?' She said, 'I saw purity, so I took a bath.' He kicked her with his foot, pushed her away from the bed, and said, 'Do not deceive me regarding my religion until forty days are over.'"
