[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in the land of hunting and we go out with hunting falcons, so he mentioned hunting hawks, and the Prophet ﷺ said, 'When you throw the hunting hawk and name it, and it attacks and kills, then eat it, for that is its prey. But if it hits a game bird, do not eat it unless you have wounded it, and if you cannot find anything other than a marwah plant, then it is sufficient for you.'"  

الطبراني:١٤٢٨٩حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِيسَى بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضِ صَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا نَخْرَجُ بِنِبَالٍ فَذَكَرَ الْمَعَارِيضَ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا رَمَيْتَ بِالْمِعْرَاضِ وَسَمَّيْتَ فَخَزَقَ فَكُلْهُ فَتِلْكَ ذَكَاتُهُ وَإِنْ أَصَابَ مُعْتَرِضًا فَلَا تَأْكُلْهُ إِلَّا أَنْ تُذَكُّوهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ إِلَّا بِمَرْوَةٍ فَإِنَّهَا تُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ»
