[Machine] Mohammed ibn Salam, Amr ibn Ma'di Karib, had experiences in the pre-Islamic era. He embraced Islam when it reached the Prophet ﷺ and Umar ibn Al-Khattab directed him to Saad ibn Abi Waqqas in Al-Qadisiyah. He faced a favorable test there. Umar wrote to Saad ibn Abi Waqqas asking for support from two thousand men, including Amr ibn Ma'di Karib and Talhah ibn Khuwailid, also known as Talhah Al-Asadi. He consulted them on matters of war and did not favor either of them.
