[Machine] He said, "There was a prince in Sana'a. Abu Qahtham, also known as Thumamah bin Adiy, was his companion. When the news of the death of so-and-so came, he cried intensely. When he woke up, he said, 'This is when the caliphate of prophethood was removed and became a monarchy and tyranny, whoever becomes dominant over something becomes its ruler.'"
قَالَ كَانَ أَمِيرٌ عَلَى صَنْعَاءَ قَالَ أَبُو قَحْذَمٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ ثُمَامَةُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ نَعِيُّ فُلَانَ بَكَى بُكَاءً شَدِيدًا فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ «هَذَا حِينَ انْتُزِعَتْ خِلَافَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَصَارَ مُلْكًا وجَبْرِيَّةً مَنْ غَلَبَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مُلِّكَهُ»
