[Machine] In His statement, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits - whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day," Ibn Abbas said that Ibrahim ﷺ sought a distinction for them over other people, so Allah revealed, "But whoever disbelieves - I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination. And [there is a share for] all. We have given some of them preference over others in provision. But they preferred not the provision of the Hereafter over the worldly life."  

فِي قَوْلِهِ {رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ مَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ} قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ احْتَجَرَهَا دُونَ النَّاسِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ أَيْضًا فَأَنَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ كَمَا أَرْزُقُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَخْلُقُ خَلْقًا لَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ أُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ اضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ {كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا}
