[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a sheep in the Battle of Taif, and his companions started striking it with their sticks and saying, "We fear that it may have died." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Put a knife in it and mention the name of Allah over it."  

الطبراني:١١٨٠٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا شَرِيكٌ وَقَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أُتِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِجُبْنَةٍ فِي غَزْوَةِ الطَّائِفِ فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَضْرِبُونَهَا بِعِصِيِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُونَ نَخْشَى أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «ضَعُوا فِيهَا السِّكِّينَ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهَا»
