[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructing women to engage in the remembrance of Allah, glorification, and sanctification, and to fasten their garments with their fingers. He also said that they are responsible and accountable. Ibn Dawud reported that Thawri asked Hani about this hadith.  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُ النِّسَاءَ أَنْ يُرَاعِينَ التَّسْبِيحَ وَالتَّهْلِيلَ وَالتَّقْدِيسَ وَيَعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ وَمُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ وَقَالَ ابْنُ دَاوُدَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الثَّوْرِيَّ سَأَلَ هَانِي عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi reported that Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Muslim ibn Akhi Al-Zuhri narrated from his uncle, Ibn Shihab, who narrated from Humaid ibn Abdul Rahman ibn Auf, who narrated from his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah ibn Abi Muayt. She reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the verse "Say, He is Allah, the One." He replied, "It is equivalent to one-third of the Quran, or it is like the whole Quran."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَقَالَ ثُلُثُ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ تَعْدِلُهُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He is not a liar who reconciles between people and says good or brings good news."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَقُولُ خَيْرًا أَوْ يَنْمِي خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] About his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqba, who was one of the early emigrants (to Medina), she said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'He who reconciles people is not a liar; he says good or does good.'"  

عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلِ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He who reconciles between people is not a liar."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ»  

"One who brings peace between people is not a liar, he says something good, or reports something good." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1938)  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "He who is not trustworthy in reconciling people with good intentions or saying something good is not a liar."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا أَوْ يَقُولُ خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The liar is not the one who reconciles between people and speaks good or says it."  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ الْكَذَّابُ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا أَوْ يَقُولُهُ»  

[Machine] He informed him that his mother was Umm Kulthum bint Uqba, and she was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and she was one of the first emigrant women who swore allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'He is not a liar who reconciles between people and says what is good or does good.'"  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمِّهَ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتَ عُقْبَةَ وَكَانَتْ مِنْ صَوَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلِ اللَّاتِي بَايَعْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَذَّابِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا أَوْ يَقُولُ خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The liar is not the one who speaks in order to bring reconciliation between people."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ الْكَذَّابُ بِأَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ فِي إِصْلَاحِ مَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ»  

"One who brings peace between people is not a liar, he says something good, or reports something good." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1938)  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ قَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] They pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah pbuh and informed him that they heard the Messenger of Allah pbuh saying, "The person who reconciles between people and speaks good or spreads goodness is not a liar."  

بَايَعْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ الْكَذَّابُ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَقُولُ خَيْرًا أَوْ يَنْمِي خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ give permission to lie except in three cases. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not consider it lying when a person reconciled between people and exaggerated in his words to achieve reconciliation, a person spoke about war, and a woman narrated to her husband, and a woman narrated to her husband.  

مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُرَخِّصُ فِي الْكَذِبِ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَعُدُّهُ كَذِبًا «الرَّجُلُ يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَزِيدُ فِي الْقَوْلِ يُرِيدُ بِهِ الْإِصْلَاحَ وَالرَّجُلُ يَقُولُ فِي الْحَرْبِ وَالرَّجُلُ يُحَدِّثُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ تُحَدِّثُ زَوْجَهَا»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granting permission for lying except in three cases. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "I do not consider it a lie for a man to reconcile between people, a man speaking during war, and a woman conveying what her husband says."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُرَخِّصُ مِنَ الْكَذِبِ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا أَعُدُّهُ كَذِبًا «الرَّجُلُ يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَالرَّجُلُ يَقُولُ فِي الْحَرْبِ وَالرَّجُلُ يُحَدِّثُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ تُحَدِّثُ زَوْجَهَا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He who reconciles between people and says good or promotes good is not a liar."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

"One who brings peace between people is not a liar, he says something good, or reports something good." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1938)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَذَّابِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who speaks good or spreads goodness is not a liar."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ قَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»  

That she heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2692)  

أَنَّ أُمِّهَ وَهِيَ أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتُ عُقْبَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا أَوْ يَقُولُ خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "He is not a liar who reconciles between people, conveying good or bringing about good."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا أَوْ يَقُولُ خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "He is not a liar who reconciles between two people."  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "Narrated by Umm Kulthum bint 'Uqba bin Abi Mu'ayt, she was the wife of 'Abd al-Rahman bin 'Auf and she used to pray in both directions (Qibla) with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'One who reconciles between people is not a liar, even if he speaks good or fabricates good.'"  

عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَكَانَتْ صَلَّتِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»
