"إِنَّه قَدْ أُوحِى إِلىَّ: أنَّه مَنْ قَرأ في ليلة: {فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ} الآية كانَ - له نورٌ من عَدَنِ أبيْنَ إِلى مكةَ حَشْوُه الملائكُة ".
Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرࣱ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهࣱ وَٰحِدࣱۖ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلࣰا صَٰلِحࣰا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدَۢا

I desire to seek the pleasure of Allah and I also want to see my place in Paradise, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not respond to him until the verse was revealed, 'So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَقِفُ الْمَوْقِفَ أُرِيدُ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَأُرِيدُ أَنْ يُرَىَ مَوْطِنِي فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ {فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا} [الكهف 110]
