"إِنَّمَا خيَّرنِى اللَّه ﷻ فقال: استَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً وسأَزيدُهُ على سَبْعِين ".
It makes no difference [Prophet] whether you ask forgiveness for them or not: God will not forgive them even if you ask seventy times, because they reject God and His Messenger. God does not guide those who rebel against Him.
ٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةࣰ فَلَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

"أخِّر عنى يا عُمَر، إنى خُيِّرتُ فاخترت، قد قيل لى: (استغفر لهم أو لا تستغفر لهم، إن تستغفر لهم سبعين مرةً فلن يغفرَ الله لهم) لو أعلمُ أنى لو زِدْتُ على السبعين غُفِر له لَزَدْت.
