"عَنْ أَبِى رافِع قَالَ: مَرَّ رسولُ الله ﷺ بِالبَقِيع فَقَالَ: أُف، أُف، أُف وَلَيْسَ مَعَه أَحَدٌ غْيرِى فَرَاعَنِى فَقُلتُ: بِأبِى أَنْتَ وَأُمِّى، قَالَ: صَاحِبُ هذِه الحفْرةِ استعملته عَلَى بنى فُلانٍ فخَانَ بُرْدَةً فَأريتُها عَلَيْهِ تَلتهبُ".

الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ

tabarani:988al-Muqaddam b. Dāwud > Asad b. Mūsá > Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl > Kathīr b. Zayd > al-Muṭṭalib

[Machine] Narrated Abu Rafi, the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Al-Baqi' (graveyard) and said, "Woe, woe, woe!" There was no one with him except me, so he turned towards me and said, "O Abu Rafi! Are my father and mother (alive)?" I replied, "They are your ransom, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "The person buried in this grave deceived me in the matter of a cloak, so I presented it to him (thinking it was genuine), but it was burning over him (in the grave).
