A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Is there any food from which I should keep myself away? I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Anything which creates doubt should not occur in your mind by which you resemble Christianity.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامًا أَتَحَرَّجُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ لاَ يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ شَىْءٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ

From his father, who said: "I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the food of the Christians. He ﷺ said: 'Do not allow food to put uneasiness in your chest similar to the doubts of Christianity about it."

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ لاَ يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ

“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the food of the Christians and he said: ‘Do not have any doubt about food, (thereby) following the way of the Christians in that.’”

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ لاَ يَخْتَلِجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ نَصْرَانِيَّةً

“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the food of the Christians and he said: ‘Do not have any doubt about food, (thereby) following the way of the Christians in that.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2830)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ لَا يَخْتَلِجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "I asked him about the food of the Christians, and he said: Do not make it impure or weave it in your chest. Do not eat food that makes you sick with Christianity." And he said: "He used to turn away from his left and right sides, and he would place one hand on the other."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ لَا يَخْتَلِجَنَّ أَوْ لَا يَحِيكَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ وَقَالَ وَكَانَ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَيَضَعُ إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى

[AI] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the food of the Christians, and he said, "Do not let their food enter your stomach, as you have distanced Christianity with it." He said, "I saw him placing one hand on the other." He said, "And I saw him turning away from his right side and sometimes from his left side."

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ لَا يَحِيكَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَضَعُ إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَىقَالَ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمَرَّةً عَنْ شِمَالِهِ

“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the food of the Christians and he said: ‘Do not have any doubt about food, (thereby) following the way of the Christians in that.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2830)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى قَالَ لَا يَخْتَلِجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ نَصْرَانِيَّةً

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, there is food that I cannot stop eating except with difficulty." He said, "Do not let anything harmful settle in your chest, for you have indulged in Christianity."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ طَعَامٌ لَا أَدَعُهُ إِلَّا تَحَرُّجًا فَقَالَ «لَا يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ شَيْئًا ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ»

[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the food of the Christians, and he said, "Do not let the food of the Christians be cooked in your chest." He then placed one hand on top of the other.

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ «لَا يَحِيكَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ» قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَضَعُ إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, we leave a certain food that causes discomfort for us." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not burp food that you have eaten loudly, for the Christians do that."

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّا نَدَعُ طَعَامًا تَحَرُّجًا مِنْهُ فَقَالَ «لَا يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامًا ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ»

“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the food of the Christians and he said: ‘Do not have any doubt about food, (thereby) following the way of the Christians in that.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2830)

"لا يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ شَيْءٌ ضَارَعت فيهِ النَّصْرانِيَّةَ".
