"عَنْ سَعْدٍ قال: رأيت عَلِيّا بَارَزَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يُحَمْحِمُ () كَمَا يُحَمْحِمُ الفرسُ وَيَقُولُ:

بَازِلُ ( ) عَامَيْنِ حَدِيثٌ سِنِّى ... سَنْحنَحُ ( * *) اللَّيْلَ كَأَنِّى حَتَّى

لِمِثْلِ هَذَا وَلَدَتْنِى أُمِّى

قال: فما رجع حتى تخضب دما".
