Seeking Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten odd nights of Ramadan

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Seek Laylat al-Qadr on the odd nights among the last ten nights of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ».

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan ,' on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of Ramadan (i.e. 21, 23, 25, respectively).

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى فِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى فِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Look for (and in the words of Waki, seek) Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْتَمِسُوا وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

This hadith has been narrated by 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) through another chain of transmitters.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Seek laitat al-Qadr in the last ten night of Ramadan. When nine (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty first) , when seven (night) remain (i.e. on the twenty third), and when five (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty fifth).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek it in the last ten nights, on the ninth it remains, or on the fifth it remains, or on the seventh it remains."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Seek laitat al-Qadr in the last ten night of Ramadan. When nine (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty first) , when seven (night) remain (i.e. on the twenty third), and when five (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty fifth). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1381)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for it during the last ten days, on the ninth night remaining, or the fifth night remaining, or the seventh night remaining."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى أَوْ سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Seek laitat al-Qadr in the last ten night of Ramadan. When nine (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty first) , when seven (night) remain (i.e. on the twenty third), and when five (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty fifth). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1381)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek out Laylat al-Qadr on the last seven nights of the month of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to seek it in the last ten nights, specifically in the ninth, seventh, and fifth nights."

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ وَسَابِعَةٍ وَخَامِسَةٍ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) in the last ten nights [of Ramadan]."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek out the Night of Decree in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) during the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرُّوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Using translation from Muslim 1171a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَكَرَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي وِتْرٍ مِنْهَا

عَنِ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Seek Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Seek the Night of Decree in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said about the night of Al-Qadr (Laylat al-Qadr): "Seek it in the ninth, the seventh, and the fifth remaining nights."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى»

"اطلبُوا ليلةَ القدرِ في العْشرِ الأواخرِ مِنْ رمضانَ".

"التمسوا ليلةَ القدرِ في العَشْر الأواخِرِ من رمضانَ: في وَتْرٍ، فَإنِّي قَدْ رَأيتُها فنسيتُها".

"الِتْمَسُوا ليلة القدْرِ في العشرِ الأواخِرِ من رمضانَ".

"التمسوا ليلة القدرِ في العشرِ الأواخرِ من رمضان وترًا" .

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Seek laitat al-Qadr in the last ten night of Ramadan. When nine (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty first) , when seven (night) remain (i.e. on the twenty third), and when five (nights) remain (i.e. on the twenty fifth). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1381)

"التمسوها في العشر الأواخِرِ من رمضان، ليلة القدرِ، في تاسِعةٍ تَبْقى، وفي سابعةٍ تَبْقَى، وفي خامسةٍ تَبْقَى".

"الْتَمِسُوهَا في العَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ في تاسعةٍ وسَابِعةٍ وخَامِسَةٍ" .

"التمسوها في العشرِ الأواخرِ من رمضانَ، والتمسوها في التاسعةِ والسابعةِ والخامسةِ".

"التمسوا ليلةَ القَدْرِ آخرَ ليلةٍ من رمضانَ" .

"تَحَرَّوا لَيلَة القَدْر في الوتْرِ مِنَ العَشر الأوَاخرِ مِن رَمَضَان".

"تَوَخَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ في الوتْر مِن الْعَشْرِ الأَواخِرِ".

"لَيلَةُ القَدْرِ في العَشْرِ الأوَاخِر في الخَامِسَةِ أو الثَّالِثَةِ".

"مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مُلْتَمِسًا لَيلَةَ الْقَدْر فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا في الْعَشْر الأَوَاخِرِ وتْرًا".
