" عَنْ عَلىٍّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ رَجُلًا نَؤوما وَكُنْتُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ المَغْرِبَ وَعَلَى ثِيَابِى نِمْتُ ثَمَّ، فَأنَامُ قَبْلَ العِشَاءِ، فَسَألْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَرَخَّصَ لِى".

ʿAli ؓ said: I was a man who fell asleep easily, and when I had prayed Maghrib and was covered with my garment, I would sleep then - Yahya bin Sa’eed said: I would sleep before ʿIshaʿ- I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about that and he granted me a concession.
