"عن الشَّعبىِّ قَالَ: كَان عَلِىٌّ يَرُدُّ عَلَى كُلِّ ذِى سَهْمٍ بِقَدْرِ سَهْمِهِ إِلَّا الزَّوْجَ وَالْمَرْأَةَ، وَلَا عَلَى ابْنٍ مَعَ بِنْتِ الصُّلْبِ، وَلَا عَلَى أُخْتٍ لأَبٍ مَعَ أُخْتٍ لأَبٍ وَأُمٍّ، وَلَا عَلَى جَدَّةٍ، وَلَا عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ، وَلَا عَلَى زَوْجٍ".
Request/Fix translation
[Machine] That Ibn Mas'ood used to not respond to a brother of his mother when his mother was present, nor to a grandmother when she was accompanied by someone other than her, nor to the daughter of a son with the daughter of a step-son, nor to a woman and her husband. And Ali used to respond to everyone with a question, except for a woman and her husband.
