السيوطي:٣٨-٦٠b –

"أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ خَلَّفَهُ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ عَلَى رُقَيَّةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ أَيَّامَ بَدْرٍ، فَجَاءَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ عَلَى الْعَضْبَاءِ نَاقَةِ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ بِالْبِشَارَةِ فَوَ الله مَا صَدَّقْتُ حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا الأَسَارَى فَضَرَب النَّبِىُّ ﷺ لِعُثْمَانَ بِسَهْمِهِ".

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ appointed Uthman ibn Affan and Osama ibn Zaid as leaders over Ruqayyah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , during the Battle of Badr. Then, Zaid ibn Haritha came riding on the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the good news. Usamah said, "I heard the cry, so I came out and found that Zaid had brought the good news. By Allah, I did not believe it until we saw the prisoners. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck Uthman with his arrow."

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَلَّفَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَأُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ عَلَى رُقَيَّةَ ابْنَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَيَّامَ بَدْرٍ فَجَاءَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ ؓ عَلَى الْعَضْبَاءِ نَاقَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْبِشَارَةِ قَالَ أُسَامَةُ فَسَمِعْتُ الْهَيْعَةَ فَخَرَجْتُ فَإِذَا زَيْدٌ قَدْ جَاءَ بِالْبِشَارَةِ فَوَاللهِ مَا صَدَّقْتُ حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا الْأُسَارَى فَضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِعُثْمَانَ ؓ بِسَهْمِهِ
