"The Messenger of Allah ruled that in the case of a Mukatab, the Diyah should be (equivalent) to the Diyah for a free man, proportionate to the amount he had paid off (towards buying his freedom)." (Dar'if)

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يُودَى بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

ʿBlood money will be paid for the mukatab (a slave with a contract of manumission) commensurate with as much as he had paid off.ʿ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى

ʿBlood money will be paid for the mukatab (a slave with a contract of manumission) commensurate with as much as he had paid off.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about mukatab, "He shall be emancipated based on the amount that he pays of the diyah (blood money) for the free person and based on the amount that is reduced from his diyah as a slave."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يَعْتِقُ مِنْهُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning slaves: "He is freed according to the amount that is paid for the blood money of a free person, and according to the amount of the blood money of the slave that he paid off."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يَعْتِقُ مِنْهُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The freed slave will be judged according to how much he has paid for his freedom, and the slave will be judged according to how much his value has decreased."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment about the slave who had made an agreement to purchase his freedom (mukatab) and he had been killed that blood-wit is paid for him at the rate paid for a free man so far as he has paid the purchase money, and at the rate paid for a slave as the remainder is concerned. قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتِبِ يُقْتَلُ يُودَى لِمَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] From the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: "The free man should pay his own blood money, and what remains is the blood money of the slave."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِحِصَّةِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ عَبْدٍ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "The blood money for a slave is according to what has been freed of him, and the blood money for a free person is according to what has been killed of him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «دِيَةُ الْمُكَاتَبِ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْعَبْدِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who is enslaved will be given freedom according to the ransom paid for the free person, and the one who is enslaved will be given freedom according to the ransom paid for the slave."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يُؤَدِّي الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ»

"دِيَةُ المكاتبِ بِقدْر ما عَتقَ منْه دِيهُ الحرِّ، وبقدر ما رَق منه ديةُ العبدِ".
