"it is not lawful to lie except in three cases: Something the man tells his wife to please her, to lie during war, and to lie in order to bring peace between the people."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ الْكَذِبُ إِلاَّ فِي ثَلاَثٍ يُحَدِّثُ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ لِيُرْضِيَهَا وَالْكَذِبُ فِي الْحَرْبِ وَالْكَذِبُ لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَقَالَ مَحْمُودٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ لاَ يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلاَّ فِي ثَلاَثٍ

[AI] She said, "The Prophet ﷺ permitted lying in three situations: during war, in reconciling between people, and a man speaking to his wife."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنَ الْكَذِبِ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْحَرْبِ وَفِي الْإِصْلَاحِ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَقَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ لِامْرَأَتِهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Lying is not permissible except in three cases: a man lying to his wife to make her pleased with him, lying in war as war is deception, or lying for the sake of reconciling between people."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ كَذِبُ الرَّجُلِ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ لِتَرْضَى عَنْهُ أَوْ كَذِبٌ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَإِنَّ الْحَرْبَ خَدْعَةٌ أَوْ كَذِبٌ فِي إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Lying is not permissible except in three cases: a man lying to his wife to please her, or to reconcile between people, or in times of war."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ كَذِبِ الرَّجُلِ امْرَأَتَهُ لِيُرْضِيَهَا أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَوْ كَذِبٍ فِي الْحَرْبِ

[AI] She said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "All falsehood is recorded against the son of Adam, except in three cases: a man lies in reconciling between people, or lies to his wife, or lies in war deception."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ الْكَذِبِ يُكْتُبُ عَلَى ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ رَجُلٌ يَكْذِبُ فِي إِصْلَاحِ مَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَوْ يَكْذِبُ امْرَأَتَهُ أَوْ يَكْذِبُ فِي خَدِيعَةِ حَرْبٍ

"لا يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلا فِي إِحْدَى ثَلاثٍ: الرَّجُلِ يُصْلِحُ بَينَ الرَّجُلَينِ، وَفِي الْحَرْبٍ، وَالرَّجُلِ يُحدِّثُ امْرأَتَهُ".
