أبو نعيم في المعرفة عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن مولى رسول الله ﷺ وقال: ذكره أبو جعفر الحضرمي من الصحابة وهو عندي غير متصل، أراه ابن السلمان، قلت وقد سبق من رواية [ق] البيهقى في السنن أنه محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن ثوبان
