"عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ سَيَأتِى نَاسٌ يُجَادِلُونَكُمْ بِشُبُهَاتِ الْقُرْآنِ، نُحَذِّرُهُمْ بِالسُّنَنِ، فَإِنَّ أَصْحَابَ السُّنَنِ أَعْلَمُ بِكِتَابِ الله".  

الدارمى، ونصر المقدسى في الحجة، واللالكائى في السنة، وابن عبد البر في العلم، وابن أبى زمنين في أصول السنة [خط] الخطيب والأصبهانى في الحجة، وابن النجار
