"عن عبد اللَّه بن شَدَّاد بن الهادِ قال: سمعت نَشِيجَ عمرَ وأنا في آخرِ الصفوفِ في صلاة الصُّبْحِ وهو يقرأُ سورةَ يوسفَ حتى بلغَ: {إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّى وَحُزْنِى إِلَى اللَّهِ} ".
