"عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ المُسَيِّب: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الخَطَّابِ، وعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ كَانَا يَتَنَازَعَانِ فِى المَسْئَلَةِ (*) بَيْنَهُمَا حَتَّى يَقُولَ النَّاظِرُ إِلَيْهِمَا: لا يَجْتَمِعَانِ أبَدًا فَمَا (* *) يَفْتَرقَان إِلا عَلَى أَحْسَنِهِ وأَجْمَلِهِ".
