"عَنِ (ابْن) عُمَرَ قَالَ: كَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْتُبُ إِلَى أُمَرَاء الْجُيُوشِ: (لَا تجْلِبُوا) عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْعُلُوجِ () أَحَدًا جَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَواسى ( *)، فَلَمَّا طَعَنَهُ أَبُو لُؤْلُؤَةَ قَالَ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: غُلَامُ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: ألَمْ أقَلْ لَكُمْ لَا تَجْلِبُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْعُلُوجِ أَحَدًا (فَغَلَبْتُمُونِى)؟ ! ".
