"عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ أَنَّهُ كَلَّمَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فِي الْبُيُوعِ، فَقَالَ: مَا أَجِدُ لَكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوْسَعَ مِمَّا جَعَلَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لِحَبَّانَ بْنِ مُنْقِذٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ ضَرِيرَ الْبَصَرِ فَجَعَلَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُهْدَةً ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِنْ رَضِى أَخَذَ، وَإِنْ سَخِطَ تَرَكَ".
[Machine] "I cannot find anything wider for you than what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has assigned to Habban ibn Munqidh. He was blind, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed him a duration of three days. If he was pleased, he would take it, and if he was displeased, he would leave it." Ubaid ibn Abi Qurra narrated this from Ibn Lahi'ah, from Habban ibn Wasil, from his father, from his grandfather, from Umar, in a shortened form, and he did not mention "blind." This hadith is unique to Ibn Lahi'ah, and Allah knows best."
