The Prophet ﷺ said, "The example of a miser and an almsgiver is like the example of two persons wearing iron cloaks." Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "The example of an almsgiver and a miser is like the example of two persons who have two iron cloaks on them from their breasts to their collar bones, and when the almsgiver wants to give in charity, the cloak becomes capacious till it covers his whole body to such an extent that it hides his fingertips and covers his footprints (obliterates his tracks). (1) And when the miser wants to spend, it (the iron cloak) sticks and every ring gets stuck to its place and he tries to widen it, but it did not become wide.
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, The example of a miser and a generous person is like that of two persons wearing iron cloaks from the breast upto the neck When the generous person spends, the iron cloak enlarges and spread over his skin so much so that it covers his fingertips and obliterates his tracks. As for the miser, as soon as he thinks of spending every ring of the iron cloak sticks to its place (against his body) and he tries to expand it, but it does not expand. The Prophet ﷺ pointed with his hand towards his throat.
that the likeness of one who spends or one who gives charity is that of a person who has two cloaks or two coats-of-mail over him right from the breast to the collar bones. And when the spender (and the other narrator said, when the giver of charity) makes up his mind to give charity, it (coat-mail) becomes expanded for him. But when a miserly person intends to spend, it contracts and every ring grips the place where it is. For the giver of charity, this coat-of. mail expands to cover his whole body and obliterates even his footprints. Abu Huraira said: (The miserly man) tries to expand it (the coat-of-mail) but it does not expand.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The likeness of a miser and a spendthrift is like a man with two iron collars around his necks, reaching down to his chest. As for the spendthrift, he does not spend from them unless they stretch beyond the place they belong. And as for the miser, it does not increase on him except in tightness."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of the stingy person and the generous person is like that of two people who have two gardens or two pieces of land made of iron. The distance between them is from their chests to their feet. As for the one who spends (in charity), and gives himself regular reminders (to do good), the traces of his good deeds depart from his skin and cover his two sides until they reach his ankles. And as for the stingy person, whenever he spends (in charity) and does something good, it clings to him and does not leave its place. It tightens around him like a ring, and it does not expand."
