"لَيُدْرِكَنَّ الدَّجَّال قَوْمًا مِثْلَكُمْ أَوْ خَيرًا مِنْكُمْ، وَلَنْ يُخْزِى الله أُمَّةً أَنا أَوّلُها وَعِيسى ابْنُ مَرْيمَ آخِرُها".

لَمَّا اشْتَدَّ جَزَعُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى مَنْ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ مُؤْتَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيُدْرِكَنَّ الدَّجَّالُ قَوْمًا مِثْلَكُمْ أَوْ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَلَنْ يَخْزِيَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَنَا أَوَّلُهَا وَعِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ آخِرُهَا»
