"خَيْرُكمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لأَهْلِهِ، وَأَنا خَيْرُكُمْ لأَهْلِى، مَا أَكْرَمَ النِّساءَ إِلَّا كَرِيمٌ، ولَا أَهَانَهُنَّ إلَّا لَئِيمٌ".  

[كر] ابن عساكر في تاريخه عن على وفيه (إِبراهيم بن محمد الأسلمى) تركوه، ووثقه الشافعى وحده، وقد اعتذر عنه [حب] ابن حبّان وقال الذهبى: الجرح مقدم
