The best age of my Umma is one in which I was sent (by Allah as an Apostle), then the one next to that. (The narrator said): And Allah knows best whether he stated this third (time) or not. the best of my people is the generation in which I have been sent, then their immediate followers, then their immediate followers. Allah knows best whether he mentioned the third or not. After them will be people who will give testimony without being asked, who will make vows which they do not fulfill, who will be treacherous and not to be trusted, among whom fatness will appear.

"The best of my Ummah is the generation among whom I was sent, then those who follow them." He(ʿImran) said: I do not know if he mentioned the third or not. "Then there shall appear people who testify while their testimony was not sought, who are treacherous, not trusted, and fatness shall spread among them."

Then those nearest to them, then those nearest to them, then people would come whose witness would precede the oath and the oath will precede the witness. Then there will come a group of people who bear witness but are not asked to bear witness, who take oaths but are not asked to take oaths, who betray and are not trusted, and who enjoy wealth but are not praised for it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي أَنَا فِيهِمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ يُسَمِّنُونَ وَيُحِبُّونَ السِّمَنَ وَيُعْطُونَ الشَّهَادَةَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُسْأَلُوهَا»

"خَيْرُ هَذه الأُمَةِ الْقَرْنُ الَّذِينَ بُعِثْتُ فِيهم، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يفْشُو أَقْوامٌ ينْدرونَ ولَا يُوفُونَ، ويحْلِفُونَ وَلَا يُسْتحْلَفُونَ، وَيَفْشُو فِيهِمُ السِّمنُ".

"خَيْرُكم قرنى، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم يكون بعدهم قوم يخونون ولا يُؤتمنون، ويشهدون ولا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ، ويَنذِرون ولا يَفُون، ويظهر فيهم السِّمَنُ".
