Three things for damnation, three for salvation, three for expiation, and three for raising ranks
Three things are destructive, three things are salvific, three things expiate ˹sins˺, and three things to rise in ranks.
(a) As for the destructive things: (1) greed that is obeyed, (2) ˹wrong˺ desires that are followed, and (3) a person's self-admiration.
(b) As for things that will save: (1) being just in pleasure and in anger, (2) moderation while having riches or in poverty, and (3) fearing Allah in secret or public.
(c) As for things that expiate ˹sins˺: (1) waiting for ˹next˺ prayer after a prayer, (2) perfecting the wudu on cold days when it is challenging, and (3) taking steps towards the congregational ˹prayers˺.
(d) As for the things that raise ranks: (1) feeding ˹the needy˺, (2) spreading the salam (greetings of peace), and (3) praying at night when others are asleep.
