"النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيشِ فِي هَذا الأمْرِ، خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِليَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الإِسْلامِ إِذَا فَقُهُوا، وَالله لَوْلَا أنْ تَبْطُرَ قُرَيشٌ لأَخْبَرْتُهَا بِمَا لِخيَارهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ".

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people are followers of the Quraysh in this matter. Their best in the pre-Islamic era were their best in Islam if they acquire knowledge. By Allah! If it weren't for the arrogance of the Quraysh, I would have informed them of their status in the sight of Allah, the Exalted.'"
