[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, asceticism in the world brings ease to the heart and body, while longing for the world prolongs anxiety and sorrow."  

الزهد لأحمد:٥١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الزُّهْدَ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُرِيحُ الْقَلْبَ وَالْبَدَنَ وَإِنَّ الرَّغْبَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا تُطِيلُ الْهَمَّ وَالْحَزَنَ»
