So watch, ˹O Muhammad˺; indeed, they are watching ˹for your end˺.  

So be on the look out, await their destruction. Indeed they ˹too˺ are on the look out, for your death — this was before the revelation of the command to struggle against them. Meccan, except for verse 14, which is Medinese; it consists of 36 or 37 verses.
القرآن:٤٤:٥٩

فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُمْ مُرْتَقِبُونَ  

{فارتقب} انتظر هلاكهم {إنهم مرتقبون} هلاكك، وهذا قبل نزول الأمر بجهادهم.
