"We argued about Ghusl in the presence of jabir in 'Abdullah, and Jabir said: 'One Sa' of water is sufficient for ghusl from Janabah.' We said: 'One Sa' is not enough and neither is two.' Jabir said: 'It was sufficient for one who was better than you and had more hair.'"
جَابِرٌ يَكْفِي مِنَ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ صَاعٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ قُلْنَا مَا يَكْفِي صَاعٌ وَلاَ صَاعَانِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ قَدْ كَانَ يَكْفِي مَنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ وَأَكْثَرَ شَعْرًا
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The amount of water needed for ablution is a handful, and the amount of water needed for purification from sexual impurity is a complete sa'a." A man asked, "What if that is not sufficient for me?" Jabir replied, "It is sufficient for someone who is better than you and has more hair. That is the teaching of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوَضُوءِ الْمُدُّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَمِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ الصَّاعُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مَا يَكْفِينِي فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ قَدْ كَفَى مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ وَأَكْثَرُ شَعْرًا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
"We argued about Ghusl in the presence of jabir in 'Abdullah, and Jabir said: 'One Sa' of water is sufficient for ghusl from Janabah.' We said: 'One Sa' is not enough and neither is two.'
