The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed when there was an eclipse of the sun like our prayer, bowing and prostrating.  

النسائي:١٤٨٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى حِينَ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِثْلَ صَلاَتِنَا يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ

[Machine] The sun was setting on the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he prayed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform rukoo' (bowing) and sujood (prostration). Hajjaj said, "Our prayers are like his prayers."  

أحمد:١٨٤٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةِ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ مِثْلَ صَلَاتِنَا
