[Machine] He asked the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , "Can one of us sleep while in a state of janaba (impurity)?". In the hadith of Nafi', he said, "Let him perform ablution and then sleep." And in the hadith of Abu Qilabah, he said, "Let him perform ablution for prayer and then sleep."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩٠١٤أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَأَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟» فِي حَدِيثِ نَافِعٍ قَالَ «فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ» وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ «فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ»

Can one of us sleep if he is junub? He said: ʿYes, if he does wudoo’ as for prayer.ʿ It was narrated from Ibn ʿUmar that ʿUmar asked the Prophet ﷺ... a similar hadeeth. (Using translation from Aḥmad 235)
