[Machine] From Fulan, a weak person, the Prophet ﷺ was brought to him and he was questioned, and he admitted. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Strike him." They said, "We fear that he may die." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Strike him with a soft cushion."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٧٢٦٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حَنِيِفٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً حَمَلَتْ فَقِيلَ لَهَا مِمَّنْ؟ فَقَالَتْ

مِنْ فُلَانٍ مُقْعَدٍ ضَعِيفٍ فَأُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَسُئِلَ فَاعْتَرَفَ فَقَالَ «اضْرِبُوهُ» فَقَالُوا نَخْشَى أَنْ يَمُوتَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اضْرِبُوهُ بِأُثْكُولٍ»
