When the Prophet ﷺ prostrated himself, he kept his arms so far away from his sides that if a lamb had wanted to pass under his arms, it could have done so. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 898)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٧٠١أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى لَوْ أَنَّ بَهْمَةً أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَمُرَّ تَحْتَ يَدَيْهِ لَمَرَّتْ»

It was narrated from Maimunah that when the Prophet ﷺ prostrated, he would hold his forearms away from his sides, such that if a lamb wanted to pass under his arms, it would be able to do so.
