[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "While I was standing to pray, Satan came to distract me, so I took hold of him by his neck and choked him until I could feel the coldness of his tongue on my thumb. May Allah have mercy upon Sulaiman, if it were not for my supplication, he would have remained tied up for you to see." Abu Salamah disagreed with him concerning his wording.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٥٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْدِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «بَيْنَا أَنَا قَائِمٌ أُصَلِّي اعْتَرَضَ لِي الشَّيْطَانُ فَأَخَذْتُ بِحَلْقِهِ فَخَنَقْتُهُ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَجِدُ بَرْدَ لِسَانِهِ عَلَى إِبْهَامِي فَرَحِمَ اللهُ سُلَيْمَانَ لَوْلَا دَعَوْتُهُ أَصْبَحَ مَرْبُوطًا تَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ» خَالَفَهُ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ فِي لَفْظِهِ
