[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to touch his family at night and then wake up in a state of janabah, so he would perform ghusl and observe fasting.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٢٩٩٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَمَسُّ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا فَيَغْتَسِلُ وَيَصُومُ»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمَسُّ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ فَيَغْتَسِلُ وَيَصُومُ
