[Machine] We went to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , on the morning of Ashura and he asked us, "Have you fasted?" We said, "We have had our morning meal, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then fast for the rest of your day." Abu Abdur Rahman said, "Muhammad ibn Bakr is not strong in narrating hadiths."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٢٨٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ

غَدَوْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَبِيحَةَ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ لَنَا «أَصْبَحْتُمْ صُيَّامًا؟» قُلْنَا قَدْ تَغَدَّيْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «فَصُومُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ «مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ فِي الْحَدِيثِ»
