قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَفَضْلٍ} [آل عمران: 174]

[Machine] About Uhud, when they reached Rawha, they said, "No, Muhammad has been killed, and the enemy has avenged their dead, and you have done nothing good." They returned, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ received the news. He summoned the people and they responded until they reached Hamra' al-Asad. They passed by the well of Abu 'Inabah. Allah Almighty revealed, "Those [believers] who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them" [Quran 3:172]. Abu Sufyan had said to the Prophet ﷺ , "We will meet you at the time of Badr, where you had killed our companions." Some of the weak ones returned, but the brave ones took their weapons and merchandise for trade. They did not find anyone willing to do business with them. So Allah Almighty revealed, "So they returned with favor from Allah and bounty, no harm having touched them" [Quran 3:174].

الكبرى للنسائي:١١٠١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَمَّا انْصَرَفَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ

عَنْ أُحُدٍ وَبَلَغُوا الرَّوْحَاءَ قَالُوا لَا مُحَمَّدًا قَتَلْتُمُوهُ وَلَا الْكَوَاعِبَ أَرْدَفْتُمْ وَبِئْسَ مَا صَنَعْتُمُ ارْجِعُوا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَدَبَ النَّاسَ فَانْتَدَبُوا حَتَّى بَلَغُوا حَمْرَاءَ الْأَسْدِ وَبِئْرَ أَبِي عِنَبَةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ} [آل عمران 172] وَقَدْ كَانَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَوْعِدُكَ مَوْسِمُ بَدْرٍ حَيْثُ قَتَلْتُمْ أَصْحَابَنَا فَأَمَّا الْجَبَانُ فَرَجَعَ وَأَمَّا الشُّجَاعُ فَأَخَذَ أَهُبَّةَ الْقِتَالِ وَالتِّجَارَةِ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا بِهِ أَحَدًا وَتَسَوَّقُوا فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَفَضْلٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ} [آل عمران 174]

[Machine] About someone who reached the area of Rawha, they said, "Neither have you killed Muhammad nor have you harmed the enemies." When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of this, he encouraged the people to continue advancing until they reached Hamra al-Asad or Bir Abi Uyyinah. So Allah revealed, "Those who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them" (Quran 3:172). Abu Sufyan had said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Your appointment is at the time of Badr where you killed our companions." So the hypocrite returned, but the brave ones continued and they were rewarded with spoils of war and trade. When they went to him, they found no one there and they conducted transactions. So Allah revealed, "So they returned with favor from Allah and bounty, no harm having touched them" (Quran 3:174).

الطبراني:١١٦٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْجَوَازُ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى أَخْبَرَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ قَالَ لَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ
