[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ went missing for a night, so they asked about him. When the morning came, he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "What held you back?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I was bitten by a scorpion." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you had said in the evening, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created three times,' it wouldn't have harmed you."

A man from Aslam tribe said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A man from among his Companions came and said: Messenger of Allah! I have been stung last night, and I could not sleep till morning. He asked: What was that? He replied: A scorpion. He said: Oh, had you said in the evening: "I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created," nothing would have harmed you, Allah willing.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Hurayra that a man of the Aslam tribe said, "I did not sleep last night." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "For what reason?" He said, "A scorpion bit me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had you said in the evening, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, 'it would not have happened."
