Do not detest your fathers; he who detested his father committed infidelity.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَرْغَبُوا عَنْ آبَائِكُمْ فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَهُوَ كُفْرٌ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not deny your fathers (i.e. claim to be the sons of persons other than your fathers), and whoever denies his father, is charged with disbelief."

ahmad:10813 – ʿAbdullāh b. Yazīd > Ḥaywah > Jaʿfar b. Rabīʿah al-Qurashī > ʿIrāk b. Mālik > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Do not dissociate yourselves from your fathers. Whoever dissociates himself from his father, then indeed he has committed disbelief."

أحمد:١٠٨١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ أَنَّ عِرَاكَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَرْغَبُوا عَنْ آبَائِكُمْ فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ كُفْرٌ

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْعَرَبَ تُطْلَقُ فِي لُغَتِهَا اسْمُ الْكَافِرِ عَلَى مَنْ أَتَى بِبَعْضِ أَجْزَاءِ الْمَعَاصِي الَّتِي يَئُولُ مُتَعَقِّبُهَا إِلَى الْكُفْرِ عَلَى حَسَبِ مَا تَأَوَّلْنَا هَذِهِ الْأَخْبَارَ قَبْلُ

ibnhibban:1466 – ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Azdī > Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > al-Muqriʾ > Ḥaywah b. Shurayḥ > Jaʿfar b. Rabīʿah > ʿIrāk b. Mālik > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not show aversion towards your fathers, for whoever shows aversion towards his father has indeed disbelieved."

ابن حبّان:١٤٦٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّ عِرَاكَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَرْغَبُوا عَنْ آبَائِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ»
