The Apostle of Allah ﷺ came out of the privy, and he was presented with some food, and the people reminded him about ablution, but he said: Am I to say prayer that I should perform ablution?  

مسلم:٣٧٤a – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَقَالَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلاَءِ فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ فَذَكَرُوا لَهُ الْوُضُوءَ فَقَالَ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فَأَتَوَضَّأَ

ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِلْمُحْدِثِ الْأَكْلَ قَبْلَ إِحْدَاثِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ حَدَثِهِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ left the bathroom and was given food. It was asked to him, "before you perform ablution (wudu)?" He ﷺ said, "I intend to pray so I will perform ablution."
