Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul- Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).' "

رَقِيتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, my nation on the Day of Resurrection will be recognized by the bright marks of ablution on their faces and limbs. So whoever amongst you can increase the brightness of his marks, should do so." Abu Hurayrah said, "I swear by Allah! I do not know what he means by 'increase the brightness of his marks.'"

الْمُجْمِرِأَنَّهُ رَقِيَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمُ الْغُرُّ الْمُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ فَقَالَ نُعَيْمٌ لَا أَدْرِي قَوْلُهُ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Indeed, you are the ones with bright faces on the Day of Judgment from the traces of Wudu (ritual purification). So, whoever among you can make his brightness last longer, then let him do so."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّكُمُ الْغُرُّ الْمُحَجَّلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ آثَارِ الطُّهُورِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[AI] He said, "I performed the prayer with Abu Hurairah on the back of the mosque, and he was wearing trousers under his shirt. So, he removed his trousers, then performed ablution, washed his face and hands, and then he raised his ablution water to his shoulders and his feet, and he raised it to his shins. Then he said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, my Ummah will come on the Day of Resurrection with radiance on their faces and limbs from the traces of ablution. So whoever among you can increase his radiance, let him do so."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَقِيتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَعَلَيْهِ سَرَاوِيلُ مِنْ تَحْتِ قَمِيصِهِ فَنَزَعَ سَرَاوِيلَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ الْوُضُوءَ وَرِجْلَيْهِ فَرَفَعَ فِي سَاقَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّيسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَأْتُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[AI] He narrated that he went up to Abu Hurayrah on the back of the mosque and found him performing ablution. He raised his hands on his shoulders and then approached me and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Verily, my nation on the Day of Resurrection will be recognized by their traces of ablution. So whoever among you can lengthen his trace, then let him do so.' I do not know whether it was from the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or from the words of Abu Hurayrah."

أَنَّهُ رَقِيَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَوَجَدَهُ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هِيَ الْغُرُّ الْمُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الْوُضُوءِ مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ لَا أَدْرِي مِنْ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

He saw Abu Huraira perform ablution. He washed his face and washed his hands up to the arms. He then washed his feet and reached up to the shanks and then said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: My people would come with bright faces and bright hands and feet on account of the marks of ablution, so he who can increase the lustre of his forehead (and that of his hands and legs) should do so. أَنَّهُ رَأَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَادَ يَبْلُغَ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى رَفَعَ إِلَى السَّاقَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرٌّ مُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الْوُضُوءِ» فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[AI] He said: "One day, I was with Abu Hurayrah on the back of the mosque. He was wearing pants under his shirt, so he took off his pants, then he performed ablution. He washed his face and hands, then he raised the water to his shoulders and washed his feet. He raised the water to his knees and washed his legs. Then he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: 'On the Day of Resurrection, my Ummah will come with radiant foreheads and limbs shining from the effect of ablution. So whoever among you can extend his radiance, let him do so.'"

أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَقِيتُ يَوْمًا مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَعَلَيْهِ سَرَاوِيلُ مِنْ تَحْتِ قَمِيصِهِ فَنَزَعَ سَرَاوِيلَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ الْوَضُوءَ وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ فِي سَاقَيْهِ الْوَضُوءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي تَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

"إِنَّ أمَّتِى يُدعون يوم الْقِيامة غرًا مُحجّلِين مِن آثَار الْوُضوءِ، فمن استطاع مِنكُم أن يُطِيل غُرَّتهُ فليفعل".
