malik:2-96Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar Arsal > ʿĀʾishah Yasʾaluhā Hal Yubāshir al-a man Āmraʾatah And Hī Ḥāʾiḍ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Umar sent a question to A'isha asking her, "May a man fondle his wife when she is menstruating?" She replied, "Let her wrap her waist-wrapper around her lower part and then he may fondle her if he wishes."  

مالك:٢-٩٦وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا هَلْ يُبَاشِرُ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ

فَقَالَتْ لِتَشُدَّ إِزَارَهَا عَلَى أَسْفَلِهَا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ

«لِتَشُدَّ إِزَارَهَا عَلَى أَسْفَلِهَا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا»

[Machine] To tighten his waist wrap around his lower garment and then approach her, if he so wishes. This narration is regarded as stopped, and it has been reported as both marfu' (attributed) and mawquf (stopped) from the Prophet ﷺ.  

البيهقي:١٤٠٨٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ ؓ يَسْأَلُهَا هَلْ يُبَاشِرُ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ
