Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed towards the Baytal-Maqdis for sixteen months after arriving in Madina. Then the qibla was moved, two months before the battle of Badr. "
أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ أَنْ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا نَحْوَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ثُمَّ حُوِّلَتِ الْقِبْلَةُ قَبْلَ بَدْرٍ بِشَهْرَيْنِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions prayed towards the House of Al-Masjid al-Aqsa for sixteen months, then the direction of prayer was changed.
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ صُرِفَتِ الْقِبْلَةُ بَعْدُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions prayed towards Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa for sixteen months, then the Qibla (direction of prayer) was changed.
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ صُرِفَتِ الْقِبْلَةُ بَعْدُ
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ and those with him prayed towards the direction of Jerusalem for about sixteen months, then the qibla (direction of prayer) was changed.
«صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ نَحْوَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ حُوِّلَتِ الْقِبْلَةُ بَعْدُ»
[AI] I heard Saad say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed after he arrived in Medina for about sixteen months towards the direction of Beit Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). Then after that, the direction was changed towards the Sacred Mosque (in Mecca) two months before the Battle of Badr, like this.
سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا يَقُولُ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ مَا قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا نَحْوَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ثُمَّ حُوِّلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قِبَلَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ قَبْلَ بَدْرٍ بِشَهْرَيْنِ هَكَذَا
"صَلَّى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّة عَشَرَ شَهْرًا، ثُمَّ حُوِّلتْ الْقِبْلَةُ بَعْدُ".
